Zero Motorcycles entre the low-power market!

A new era for Zero Motorcycles is upon us with the launch of their all new light-weight Zero XB and XE.

Are these the right bikes for Zero?

With the tag line "Unleash Adventure" The all-new Zero XE and XB entre Zero Motorcycles into a whole new category, not only in style, but also price point. Over the last 12+ years, Zero has made itself know for it's high-end, premium price tag electric motorcycles that have led the way for all other electric motorbike brands, and still they have very little in terms of competitors. There are very few things to fault with the current line-up of Zero motorcycles, but entry price point is what we hear the most. So the new Zero XE and XB have been designed especially for the much larger, low-power markets, making Zero Motorcycles more accesible than ever!

It must be said though, both the Zero XE and XB are great looking little bikes. Zero have really translated their design language well on to these bikes. There are plenty of competitors in this market including the Sur-Ron, Talaria, and Eride Pro, but the Zero's certainly hold their own in the looks department!

So, lets take a closer look at the bikes individually.

Let's start with the XB

The Zero XB is the smaller of the two low-power bikes, with a peak power of 7.5kW, but with a peak torque number at the motor of 42Nm, and a MASSIVE torque figure at the wheel of 373Nm! In the UK the XB will be fully road legal in the AM licence category. This makes it a 50cc equivelant with a limited top speed of 28mph. This makes it the perfect little commuter bike for anyone from the age of 16. It also means that if you passed your UK Driving test before Feb 2001 you can most likly ride the Zero XB without a CBT and no L-plates! Bonus!
